Startup of the two new regional cooperation projects The Swiss Cultural Programme in the Western Balkans (SCP) is very happy to announce the beginning of the new three-year regional cultural cooperation projects. These two projects have been selected by the SCP Regional Steering Committee on its meeting in November 2009.
The two selected projects are:
Project name: Balkan's Initiative for Cultural Cooperation, Exchange and Development (BICCED)
Leading Organisation: Balkan Investigative Regional Reporting Network (BIRN), Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina
Partner Organisations:
SEECult (Belgrade, Serbia),
Balkan Investigative Reporting Network Macedonia (Skopje, Macedonia),
Balkan Investigative Reporting Network Serbia (Belgrade, Serbia), and
Balkan Investigative Reporting Network Kosovo (Prishtina, Kosovo)
(As well as Albania as an additional country of implementation).
The goal of the project is to connect local cultural institutions, both locally and regionally, train journalist to write analytical reports, highlighting activities and main issues, and also to edit, publish, and disseminate information on local level through local media outlets, and on regional level, via web sites. The project will be implemented in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Serbia. It will involve government officials and policy decision makers from the region, and work to improve the situation in the region by strengthening cultural life and cross-cultural cooperation as an important element of a participatory, open, and dynamic civil society.

E761 is a regional cooperation programme aiming at building creative capacities of four towns in BiH and Serbia through strengthening initiatives, capacity building and networking of young professionals in music, production, event management, audio&video technology, graphic and web design, internet marketing, etc. This project will explore and put focus to a practice of market-based social network in small communities, in order to affirm community development through intercultural dialogue and civic sector development.
Main areas (programme lines) of the project are:
- Music industry
- New media (video, interactive design, internet marketing-web economy, digitality)
- Youth Urban Culture – Youth Public Art and Urban Design (Creativity, Education, Entrepreneurship, Activism)
