Small actions

Small Actions are considered to be one-time events: exhibitions, publications, stage productions, concerts, conferences, debates etc., but also durable research or process-based projects in the field of art theory and practice, mobility grants, etc.
Our partners in the implementation of Small Actions are organizations, institutions and groups of independent cultural workers. They are paid a subsidiary project-specific contribution in order to facilitate the development and implementation of cultural projects.
Realization of such projects should directly contribute to the progress of the defined regional and/or national priority areas and at the same time to fulfilling the overall objectives and vision of the Programme.

Regional priorities for Small actions are as follows:

  • building the professional capacity of artists or cultural organisations, especially young or emerging practitioners;
  • developing cultural debate within society;
  • supporting innovative cultural creation; and
  • extending equal opportunities and human rights by supporting cultural diversity.
Please consult the Regional Guidelines and Criteria, which can be downloaded below.

If the project corresponds to the priority areas and eligibilty criteria of SCP, it will be presented to our National Advisory Board. The Board consists of four prominent local experts and one representative from the SDC. The Board assembles twice a year. For this reason, it is required that interested applicants submit their projects prior to the deadlines announced on this web-site (see How to apply).
