	The project called “Beyond the notes” dedicated to the two important composers of the Albanian music tradition, Tonin Harapi (1928-1992) and Thoma Simaku (born on 1958) is a complex activity that involves music, musicological studies, digital recording and publishing of the CD and monographic brochure. This project intends to be held in the main cultural cities of Albania, such as Tirana, Durres and Shkodra trying: -to spread out important information about the two selected composers and the historical context of their period of composition, -to perform unknown compositions of Harapi and giving first performances in Albania for the works of Simaku, -to record for the first time Harapi’s works for cello and piano and other chamber music composed by Simaku and other Albanian composers of the same period, -to analyze and comment to the audiences elements of the music of both composers.

	This will be the eighth painting exhibition for the duo of Shpresa Beqiri and Nikolet Vasia, who previously exhibited in Tirana in 2000, Italy in 2001, France in 2001, Spain in 2002, Durres in 2004, Tirane in 2005, and the U.S.A in 2007. This exhibition features 70 Oil and Acrylic paintings, 100x70, 70x50, and 50x30. The objects of these works are taken from Albanian everyday life, with elements symbolic of the feminine, in both realistic & abstract components. The center of the entire exhibition is the great Albanian woman, MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA. Shpresa Beqiri expresses herself through a colorful blend of realistic/naïve symbolic elements. Nikolet Vasia uses an abstract figuration and a more succinct language to express the manners and customs of Albanians. All the paintings were created during 2008-2010 and the critics, especially in Italy, France, Spain, and the U.S.A have never stopped singing their praises.

	Concert tour of the orchestra “Youth Virtuous of Tirana” the unique musical phenomena of the years 1987-2000, which has already won four first international prizes. Actually the music players are part of some of the most prestigious orchestras Wiena Filarmonika, Orchestra Simphonica della Scala, Kammersolisten “Augsburg”, Oper Orchester-Munchen, Quatour Bandi, etc, shall come for the first time in Tirana ( after about 10 years) from January 16 to 25, 2009 to perform 3 concerts. In the framework of the Association “Junnesses Musicales”-Albania the orchestra shall organize the tour and the master-classes with theme :”The music in Ensemble” for music schools Tirana, Durres, Elbasan.Shkoder and Korca In this framework it shall be exchanged their experience with the young students that play in the orchestras of the schools. An experience meeting shall be held at the Academy of Arts. 	MOZAIK is an Albanian Project, started since in 2007 and supported by: Foundation Dr. Peter-Mahringer, Austria; Albanian Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports and International & European Relationship Ministry, Austria This Project, which will be taking place for a few years and aims to support pedagogues and students, coming from all art and music genres as well as professional artists and musicians facing them with the new requests of the contemporary pedagogy and art. These new musical methods, artistic and pedagogical, which have been in the subject of the first and second Mosaic edition, will be present in the workshops, concerts, and discussions during the project execution. The new generation will be in the main focus because they are the new generation facing with the recent methods.

	The summer school will be developed in a term of 8 days and will be focused on the theoretical and practical training in the field of landscape in photography. With the support of contacts we already have to Theth, it will be selected the group of students that will be trained during the summer school. The program will be developed in the houses of the coordinator in Theth. The orgaizer will provide the group with a computer, a video projector, didactic material and 10 photo cameras, for the participants. 1. The first meeting include: presentations of participants and trainers, presentation of the program and methodology of the workflow. 2. At the end of each day screening of films on photography will be organized, and projection of photos by the daily activity of the participants. 3. The program is build on basics theory and practical work with photo camera, focuded on the photography of the landscape, which will help the students to document their region and cultural heredity, of traditional and contemporary landscape. 4. The schedule is build in a way to fulfill the necessities of students related to the basics of photography, theoretic lecture for history of photography and practice on the field.

	The Biannual festival “NETET E MUZIKES KLASIKE” (Classical Music Nights) is a festival of classical music that takes place once every two years in Durres. It is founded in year 2003 when was held the first Edition with the initiative of Florian Vlashi (violinist). This Festival is the first classical music festival to take place in Durres. As a continuing of musical tradition in this city, from the first Edition it was strongly supported by the intellectuals, musicians, artists, public, media and hundred amateurs of art all around Albania. The main aim of this festival is to create a celebration (a feast) of the art music in the city with 2500 year of history and culture; where could be present Albanian and foreign musicians; all the styles of the classical music; all the generations; and for all the public; in order to create a close interconnection between the composers, performers, and the public, where the priority remains the support of the today's composers, young talents and affirmation of these young musicians abroad.

	The International Film Summerfest of Durres will present in its second edition the best European movies produced in the last two years. This edition has ambition to present in the official program artistic movies in 35mm. The fest program will be in two sections: “Contemporary Visions”- Competitive section devoted to the European narrative long feature films. The section will include a maximum of 14 films coming from countries that are part of the European Union with the aim to underlining the plurality of sources and expressions of a filmmaker`s vision and the multifaceted aspects of contemporary European visual culture. “Balkan World”- Competitive sections devoted to narrative long feature films coming from Balkan regions, Turkey included. The section of maximum of 14 films will strive to show to the international audience the creativity of the filmmakers of the area. “Out of Competition” –Three of the best films of season that, regardless from their origin, will be presented out of competition. “Close Encounters”- A focus on a European country that will showcase the best films of the last three years with the aim to give to the audience gathered in Durres a deeper knowledge of filmmakers. In 2009 the country is Italy. “Golden Gladiator Career Achievement Award”- The prize will be awarded to one of the most outstanding filmmaker of the world. A selection of his films, composed together with the recipient of the award, will be shown in the impressive frame of the ancient Roman Amphitheatre. The Sound of Music- A special program devoted to the pivotal role that the composer plays in giving life and emotions to a film. The program will, each year dedicated a special homage to a composer that will be invited to hold a masterclass in Durres and will introduce to the audience one of the films that better represent his visions. Film and Television Meetings – The meetings will explore the large range of possibilities of cooperation in production and distribution.

	Beside the Albanian and international competition, for the 8th edition is very important the presentation of the special program. Respecting the established tradition of each year inviting authors that left their traces in the cinema world, especially in independent films this year each evening will be present an author with a film which will be part of the special program. But at the eighth edition of TIFF for the first time we will introduce the Balkan real(ity). In this section we will screen only the films made in Balkan and the purpose is to create a debate among the filmmakers from Balkan. The price to the best production from the region of the Balkan will be awarded from a international Jury.Every day competition will start with one of the films in international competition. The second program will be one section parallel to the best Albanian film. In this frame will be included a retrospective program dedicated to one of Albanian directors who left traces in the Albanian cinema (Dhimiter Anagnosti). 	The 11th edition of this festival will be held on 17th – 27th of July, 2010, where shall participate theatrical troupes from Albania, Greece, Greece, Italia, Russia, Romania, France, Ukraine, Lithuania and Serbia. Within this activity with unic values for the country and the artistic comunity, will be organised other activities as: The competition and the picture show; Concerts and folck music,. At the same time, an important place shall take the debate tables on the Theatre issue, Cultural Turism, Marketing and the real possibilities for the contacts among The International Festival of The Theatre “Butrinti 2000” with other europian festivals. For the first time will be organised NETA Meeting, (New Europe Theatre Action). Being in the touristic season, there will be many foreign tourists. The festival is not simply an international festival of antique or classical theatre. It is a contemporary exploration of the theatrical possibilities of this ancient site. It promises discoveries about the origins of theatre, about the power of myth and poses questions about the meaning of theatre in our contemporary world. There is an extraordinarily mixture of international theatre practitioners, figures from the Albanian cultural elite and local people, which perhaps are seeing theatre for the first time. All this elements make this festival stimulating and productive.

	Through the project “Exhibition with photos of Albanian women and girls GADC would bring together photos realized from different artists of real life of Albanian women and girls. The photos would be carefully selected a team of experts, in order to bring photos that show aspects of life of considering women as agent of change in Albanian society. These photos would bring a different perspective of what media provides in everyday life, mainly considering women as victims of domestic violence and trafficking. These photos would be carefully selected in order to provide of the real life on Albanian women in personal and public sphere. Women would be seen as important actors in the life of Albanian family and society, pointing out their invisible role and in particular their achievement in educations and other areas. The catalogue of these photos would be distributed not only to participants at the exhibitions, but also to national and internationals stakeholders addressing gender/women issues in Albania.

	It will be an exhibition built on intimate experiences of artists in relation to a particular situation where the word comes as an abstract notion. In this exhibition will participate five of most important masters of word and visual arts of the moment in Albania. These artists are; writer Fatos Lubonja, Gazmend Leka, Ardian Isufi, Ali Oseku and Valdimir Myrtezai. The exhibition will be organized in the premises of the Gallery FAP In April 2010. Artistic interventions will be multimedia and refered media is the artistic documentary installation, the written but not said text. One innovation of this event is not only the artistic relation between the work and its creator but also the straight communication that they will have with the public on the opening night of exposition which will create a casual debate on the topics that will be explicate in this event and will be documented in a DVD which will be published in the closure of the exhibition. Public debate is in first plan importance of this exhibition to integrate more public in artistic motives and concerns of the time.

	POETEKA International Festival of Poetry and Literature is an annual gathering between artists of the written word arts, writers, art critics, lecturer’s, essayists and performers from Europe and beyond In its Sixth Edition, POETEKA – International Festival of Poetry and Literature will diversify new dimensions to its existing values gained through the successful experiences of the previous editions. The main topic in multidimensional point of view of POETEKA VI will be again - BALKAN (culture, language, music, atmosphere, promotion, art of culinary); - the CLOSED SOCIETY, - the LITERnATURA, - and READING - an intimidation or a romantic habit...! Again, based on the successful experience and the great interesting that was raised by the event and based on the requests of the partners, different actors of the regional cultural circles and many of its potential guests, in its Sixth Edition, POETEKA will introduce a special motif entitled “Balkans Nights” organized in three special evenings.

The double artistic and awareness message, tends with the works realized during the 1973-2010 time frame, to show the transformation and continuity of life, aiming to convey to the public the idea of loving my city, seeing it as being alive that requires attention, care and our understanding. With this exhibition the painter aims to generate a awareness debate with the citizens of the capital. Also, during the exhibition, in one or more public television and in periodic newspapers, he plan to develop a debate on this issue.

	The “Mehr Licht” literary magazine, in its 37 editions published up to now, has achieved to bring the best values of the Albanian literature of the last 4 years, a swell as the contemporary literature and the world theoretical literary thought. Also, it has brought our literary tradition in another prism contributing in the esthetic consciousness of the today Albanian reader. Besides this, the “Mehr Lichmt” agazine is actually integrated in the EUROZINE Network (European Magazine) of the European cultural magazines. Some o fthe selected parts of the “Mehr Licht" magazine are included in the online editions of the network. In this context, the project aims at the publishing of the “Mehr Licht” literary magazine No. 38,39, in order to guarantee its continuance and the widening of the literary interest in general. Through these editions is intended that in the period July 2010 – December 2010 ( the period of the project development) to reflect and promote incoherence the creativity of the Albanian authors and translators,as well as the most well-known authors of the foreign literature.

The program includes “Stabat Mater” of Pergolesi, one of the masterpieces operas of the world and the Ave Maria-s of Bach-Gounod, Shubert, Piazzolla and P. Jakova. These pieces represent very well the life of the Great Albanian woman that dedicated her life to the people in suffer, in sickness. The artistic groups that shell realize this project shall be the philharmonic choir and string orchestra, which have in their organic the best musicians of Albania (Professors of Academy of Arts and distinct participants of orchestras of RTSH and TOB of TIRANA).

	This project focuses on restructuring the cultural strategy of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports in Albania. The working group of the Ministry prepared last year a draft of the cultural strategy for 2010-2013. After being discussed with the working group and the group of interests, the strategy has been revised also by the international consultants. The international consultants have suggested for the strategy of culture to be revised in accordance with the European Standards for cultural strategies. In order to achieve the level required by the European Standards, the working group has to continue working on the cultural strategy from March-October 2010. The cultural strategy is intended to be submitted and then approved in December 2010. The key experts of the working group are experts in the field of cultural from different institutions. They will work individually on the cultural strategy related to their field of interest, and then discuss monthly the proposed strategy with the working group. The working group will also publish and organize activities for the public debate on cultural strategy.

A provocative combination between a woman’s head , whose body will be all dressed in black in order to become invisible for the spectators and a male body whose head will be covered by a black mask to make it invisible for the spectators. The head and the body will be independent on stage during this performance that will transmit anxiety, panic, irony , disappointment, hurry, fear, happiness, banality etc. This performance will "talk" in many languages. 	Publication of collection of essays, structured around the theme axis: "The Fate of Albanian culture between tradition, soc-realism and the prolongation of its inheritance, after the fall of communism", by Agron tufa. The selected essays chosen for this book put forth a "re-reading" of the most important repertoire of tradition, ideological art, communicative codes, dogma and all the efforts to deliberate oneself from any kind of dogma. The attention is focused in some key processes, which have played a main role on the formation of cultural physionomy, as well as in destructing this physionomy and the cultural identity. The essays have a polemic and discursive nature. There is a variety of point of views as the literary arts, their ideological function and the uncompromised confrontation of schematic art with political and ideological functions, as well as the resistance and the sacrifice acts as pure objections. One of the main concerns of the book deals the fate of literature and culture in the actual contemporary context, the attempt to survive the soc-realist inheritance after the dictatorship, the manipulation and the high level of confusion in the values' hierarchy, the refractor role of Albanian scientific and arts institutions, as a pawn of communist inheritance prolongation.

	The series of Theatre “interference's” in the peripheral cities of Albania “Cities’ Curtains” is a project of artistic “invasion” in cities where the cultural life and opportunities of young and marginal categories of population to profit from the benefits of a better and cultural structured life are minimal. Considering the power of the word’s art and in particular the scenic arts, it is intended to create a cycle of activities using the interaction of local communities (young and emerging people), in order to prepare live spectacles and/or fragments of the well-known tradition of the Albanian and European drama heritage like Cajupi, Floqi, Shakespeare, Moliere. These activities will also include young artists from the Academy of Arts, in order to establish reciprocal “bridges of communication” with the real life of peripheral communities and to give opportunities to the young artists for future market research, new ideas and developments. The project will be implemented with a studied and efficient calendar of activities for all cities involved in the project, not exceeding 15 days for each city. Professors of the Academy of Arts, local artists and coordinators (where is possible) and young artists from the Faculty of Scenic Arts will be the “generators” of such “interference's” in the mentioned cities.

Forum A+P’s first edition has 118 pages, including the editorial and 12 articles (8 Albanian and 4 international) by well known personalities in Albanian, English and Italian languages. All the articles include illustrations, an abstract and a brief description of the author. This poetry collection is thought as a contribution on the latest lyrics, and the author has thought to promote the book through the activities planed for “The year of Lasgush Poradeci”. Being a coauthor of the literature textbook for the 4-th level of high school, for “Language and artistic literature”, she things that these poetries bring some liberation on poetry language, reflecting the new literary and otherwise situations. Some poetry from this book have been published and appreciated by all the main literary publications, such Mehr Licht, Poeteka, Fjala, Milosao, Drita and other online publications. This collection will facilitate the gathering of all this poetry in one book for easier access for the reader.

	This project consists in promotion and exchange of culture and art between artists. For 2 weeks the artists will work in the open area of the main park of the city, which is much known for its greenery spaces. During the summer it has a peak frequency by people. So the performance of artist work will be as a great show for the park visitors and as an open studio for the artists. The thematic will be free. The ideas and the models presented by the artists will be judged through the Culture Commission of Korca municipality. The works will be made mainly in stone, Greek marble with a volume of 2m x 0.5m up to 3m x 0.6m. Each artist will have the necessary equipments and its works space. (Water, electricity, compressor, etc. The final scope of this event, following the successful experience of the last year, will be that all the participants will contribute with their works and the sculptures will be placed in the park site as a symbol of art and culture of the city, so that to turn this event in an annual activity. The artists will have a copyright payment. The organizers, Korca Municipality and the Cultural Centre “Vangjush Mio” will provide the necessary materials and will arrange all the contacts with artists inside and outside Albania. SHKODRA JAZZFEST 2009 aims to become a very important event, part of the jazz scene all over Albania, Balkan and later of Mediterranean area. A ‘round table’ will follow every presentation on the different issues of choreography, organization, policies, and managing this form of art. 	New Albanian Music association organizes the XVI Edition of the “New Albanian Music Days” Festival. This activity is the only one promoting Albanian contemporary music through the commissions of new works by the Albanian composers. In our XV past Editions we have managed to commission more than 100 new works by the Albanian composers and hold more than 80 concerts in Albania, not mentioning those activities which have been organized abroad. This year’s edition will be organized from 25 May- 10 June and there will be a total of 7 concerts and two master-classes. The concerts will be held in Tirana, Shkodra and other cities in order to offer the newest tendencies of contemporary music not only to the inhabitants of the capital but also to those living in other cities. Thus the XVI Edition of the “New Albanian Music Days” Festival will bring to to audience performances from several instrumental ensembles as chamber instrumental music, acapella choir, string orchestra, guitar, flute, electro acoustics etc. We intend to involve in this edition more than 100 musicians, instrumentalists and composers. The aim of this project is to stimulate the contemporary youth to keep loving and reading the artistic book like poetry, novel, novelette, comedy, drama etc. in the respective languages of this region such as Vllach language, Greek, and Romanian, in order to make the book and the love for it, a moto in their lives. This is an original project and includes the high school students in Ohrid, Struga, Pogradec and Korca. The activity will join in a journey starting around the Ohrid Lake till the Academy of Voskopoja, on the “Creative City” bus, 10 excellent students from each city of the region. The festival is a vital musical manifestation and a joyful event for the people. Making it possible is dependent on the qualitative developments in tourist field, especially in area of Saranda. This festival is included in the annual calendar of the artistic events of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and that of the Saranda municipality. The three previous editions of this Festival are sponsored by AMC (Sponsor General). After a 5 months of meetings, consultings and concrete help provided by KOF to the wind bands taking part in the festival, according to a well defined plan, for 6 nights the wind orchestras will perform in musical parades and concerts in Saranda, Delvina, Ksamil and Himare. This will make a bigger apile to the community. One of the yang artists have created three works of the sizes 3mx 2.5m which are a strong apile for the cleaning from the fog of the post-modern consuming culture and revaluation of the most human values in our daily optical point of view. This is the city where we live, walk, love. Recycling is a project in function of the city, but in the same time it is involved with all the aspect of the unmentioned problems.

	The book is the micro thesis for my “Masters Degree” in the field of Literature, in the Faculty of History-Philology, Grammar-Literature Branch, Tirana University. I would like this scientific work to be published not only for the maximal evaluation given by The Commission, but also for the reason that publications in this field are very rare in our country. In Albania, the reasoned bibliographies are few. Thus this one on Lasgush Poradeci will be some part of contribution made by scholars of Literature in the field. The work has more than 800 characters covering the period from the year 1927until today. The Bibliography refers to the literary work of Lasgush, his translations, writings from others found on the pages of the Albanian press and on pages of books from other authors. Significant is the formulation of the detailed characters, by the chronology of years and in the Albanian alphabetic order. The book will be promoted in the University, schools, press and electronic media in Albania. The logo and name of SCP will be launched in every promotion activity.

In other words the work is inviting to imagine every period of time, and every place to position the drama. The look, age, dresses and physic actions of the characters are given in a mathematic key and are left to the fantasy and imagination of the theater director and actors to be chosen. This drama has 3 characters: A, B and C that have the temptation to go somewhere and in the Albanian version of this production, those are 3 young people trying to pass the border in the 1989. 	The National Romance Competition shall foster the creativity of this genre, in the European year of Creativity and Innovation. The Competition shall take place in three cities, Tirana, Shkoder, Korce during three weekends. In Tirana at the Arts Academy, in Shkoder at Migjeni Theatre, in Korce the Palace of Culture V. Mio. In the Competition will participate different Albanian composers with their vocal and instrumental creations, which shall be interpreted by soloists, vocalists, and Albanian youngsters. This Competition will serve to enrich the vocal, concertal and didactic at the same time. The competition shall be announced in April 2009 and after gathering the materials, a committee will select the best creations which shall be presented in a vocal-instrumental concert in the theaters of Korce and Shkoder; the three best creations shall be selected as well. Along with the concerts the scores shall be published and a CD shall be produced. The Competition will be recorded by a public television and two private local TV’s with the aim to make it as more visible and tangible to the public. In the mean time at the Arts Academy in collaboration with the Music Faculty and the music schools in Korca and Shkodra shall take place seminars regarding the development of the Albanian contemporary vocal creativity.

	The main goal of this project is to make possible to publish a study done in the past two years on Culture in Post Communist Albania. Synopsis: Studying culture is a very difficult task. Culture tends to change very slowly as it deals with shared values and beliefs, norms and way of living of a society. This study is based mainly on the survey done to study culture and changes in post communist Albania. A questionnaire was designed and a survey was administered with participation of 100 professionals: 50 Albanians and 50 foreign citizens, who work and live in Albania for duration of two years. This study is an initiative to enrich the Albanian publishing market with another source of information on the cultural changes that Albania had in the past 18 years of democracy. This study has as its main focus the organizational culture, seen in the framework of overall Albanian culture. Culture is changing more slowly, that other social, economical and political changes of the Albanian society. After publishing the book I will promote it in three different cities: Elbasan, Korca Tirana, through meeting with young people.

	The dictionary of art and Albanian artists is intended to be a biographic dictionary of painters, sculptors, and graphic and contemporary artists of the XVI – XX century. This dictionary will include 500 selected entries which represent the majority of the names and terminology that is supposed to be found interesting by the reader. The biography of each artist will be treated according to certain criteria imposed by the importance of the authors’ work and the role that both the author and his/her work has played in the history of Albanian art. In some cases the treatment will be affected from the availability of the biographic materials. In general, the size of a given entry will depend on the importance of the artist or the quantity of the available material. The entries of the most important artists will be accompanied by a colour picture of their work. For the first time this dictionary will offer a full view of special Albanian artists which are residents of the Albanian Republic, Kosovo, Montenegro, but also of those Albanian artists that have developed their creativity in other countries throughout the world.

The rehearsal period will take place in “Bajrush Mjaku Theatre”, Skopje. The play will be staged in venues in Skopje (“Bajrush Mjaku Theatre ), Tirana (National Theatre). The characters in “Uncle Vanya” wander under the sunlight full of hopes and greet the disquieting darkness full of fear. One can feel the presence of a desire for change. Several of the most prominent actors in Albania will take part. The level of democratic emancipation in our society is at times infantile, fragile, and deformed. Human rights are ignored, whereas violence, drugs, crime and organised crime, are seldom accounted for. At present, it is a wide spread belief that a good-natured and righteous person is doomed to fail amidst the chaos of dirty business, illegally accrued wealth, fake morality, and appraisal for material profits. Under such circumstance, for the main character (Zyberi) going crazy is a means to set himself free. In this way he will become the most normal person in what turns into a completely abnormal society.

Also, the condition of these original manuscripts is deteriorating and the music is being lost. So, this would be a good service for the Albanian music heritage. The brass quintet “Tirana” has selected and elaborated the scores of Albanian composers and has prepared these for publication. The scores will be used later on by the Albanian school of Wind Chamber Music.

	The “Jorgjia Truja”Lyrical Voices Meeting which will be held from 3-6 April, and will be divided in three phases: 1. Semi-final, where the candidates will present two arias from an opera (one of them should be Albanian) 3. Final concert, where the prizes will be awarded. The final concert is organised as a gala with the orchestra of the Academy of Arts, conducted by Alqi Lepuri, and big media presence. This activity aims to support the new artists from 15-32 years old, in a national area, to achieve better performances through contacts with experts from European schools. 	The book will be published by and distributed together with the magazine “Psikologji” free of charge with each copy of the magazine. Given that the magazine “Psikologji” is distributed all over Albania, the delivery of a poetry book will also be possible. Hence, in addition to various articles on socio-psychological topics in this magazine, readers will also have the opportunity to read the poetry book. Poetry book “Because you exist”. The poetry book titled “Because you exist” contains about 90 poems written by the poet Mirela Sula. Mirela Sula is the author of several books of poetry and prose. She is also the editor in chief of the magazine “Psikologji”. This book will include 100 pages of selected poetry of the author.

	Professor Milto Vako is an acclaimed choir conductor and composer. He was born in Pogradec in 1930 and graduated as choir conductor at Moscow Conservatory in 1959. He is a founder member of Tirana Academy of Fine Arts in 1962. He worked as a conductor of the National Opera Choir and the Ballet Ensemble for 14 years. In 1960 he established the well-known girl choir of Jordan Misja School (lyceum) and since 1962 he has been teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tirana. The aim of this proposal is to support the printing and the publishing of 200 copies of a book summarising the personal and artistic life of Milto Vako, and highlighting his meaningful contribution for the development of the vocal and choral art in Albania. This book, already drafted by Milto Vako and Kristaq Nanushi (writer), is expected to number up to 250 pages, with coloured photos and coloured cover. Besides the artistic life, and the artistic contribution of Prof. Milto Vako, the book will include his compositions and adaptation (adapted for choral signing) of Albanian folk music.

	The municipality of Korca undertakes the organisation and implementation of the project “International Painters’ Colony Mio’s Days 2008”. The decision was based on the previous success, the location of the event as well as the consideration to give this event an annual character. The project aims to promote the artistic and cultural values of the city through art exchange, and to enhance the spirit of tradition. Fifteen artists from Albania and fifteen artists from Greece, F.Y.R.O.M., Kosovo, and other countries will take part. The participants will be invited to spend 4 days in the colony and create their works in the city of Korca and its surroundings. The organisers, Korca Municipality and Cultural Centre “Vangjush Mio” will provide necessary materials and arrange all the contacts with artists from both home and abroad. Korca Municpality will provide facilities for the exhibition. The exhibition will be opened in the Art Gallery “Guri Madhi” on the final day of the event. In the end, all participants will contribute with one of their works to the Art Gallery’s collection.

	The street theatre was established as part of the association “Mother, children and the future” in 2000. Its slogan is: “Women in men’s role”. They have been promoting gender equality through theatre plays as a way to sensitise the community to these issues. Support is needed to publish the album “Women street theatre - Success stories”. Successful photographs and selected theatre pieces will be published in the album, counting 32 coloured pages and printed in 400 copies. The association will use the publication to promote their street theatre activities, and to raise funds for the continuity of cultural events, shows, etc. Project Activities: - selection of photos, processing the materials, and preparing them for publication. - publication of the album - promotion event for the album.

	The dramaturgical essence and the philosophy of the musical Loteu i Stineve consists of the reverse and universal relation between the Light and Shadow, Spring and Winter, Life and Death, Love and Delusion, Transparency and Nebulosity, Hot Air and Cold Air, that after effects the rain, snow, storm, thunderclouds, the roses’ fingers auroras (as Homer said), pain, the ominous wind, lotophagi, sirens, rain drops over the glass, love transformed in Daphne, sand-martins, the gulls which sometimes are more human than the people, Le-Dea-da, the “Gilgamesh” poem’s mythical concupiscence, the dominance of darkness which effuse the horrible rain, the evil souls, light transformed to darkness, dead people going out of their tombs, the sun that grew dark and the beautiful moon, our home full of brightness and azure, and the obscurity home where light is unnecessary and where dust is people’s food, the meadows covered in various flowers, and this wonderful landscape in an elliptical rotation of the 4 seasons, composes the matter and the substance of what I entitled LOTEU I STINEVE. The narrator is doing a counterpoint between the recitation and the projection of his image over tulle in real time. The relation between the narrator and the soprano decomposes by its own message and dramaturgy, building in this musical theatre the binomial between Light and Shadow, Spring and Winter, Life and Death, Love and Delusion, Transparency and Nebulosity, Hot Air and Cold Air. The recitant is doing a counterpoint between recitation and the projection of his image over the tulle in real time. 	"The Maids" is an ambitious premiere in the artistic season 2007-2008. This theatrical piece will open the month of Francophone culture with the premiere performance on March 29th. This piece is an icon that expresses in the most completed way the theatre of Jean Genet. It is the icon of a human being, the prisoner in a glass labyrinth, the hostage of its outstanding reflections. He tries to find a way to communicate with other people but he can't, because of the glass walls. In the long list of the "Cursed poets" who hold the French literature from Vijoni to Santi, Jean Genet is certainly the strangest. Genet based his play on the infamous Papin sisters, Lea and Christine, who brutally murdered their employer and her daughter in Le Mans, France, in 1933. The story can be read as an absurdist exposition on the intricate power dynamic that exists between the unequal. Solange and Claire are two housemaids who create sophisticated sadomasochistic rituals when their mistress (Madame) is away. The focus of their Theatre is the murder of Madame and they take turns portraying either side of the power divide. The deliberate pace and devotion to detail guarantee that they always fail to actualise their fantasies by ceremoniously "killing" Madame at the ritual's denouement.

	This book contains 14 pieces written for A Capella choir . These works are written to fulfil a demand in this genre. There has been a lack of publication in this area, although the choral music is a characteristic of the Albanian music, especially of the city of Korca. Each piece has its own character, for example, ballads, lied, serenade, and also some arrangements of Albanian folk music and urban tradition. This book will enrich the traditional repertoire, and will help the different activities by its original programme. One of these activities is the European Choral Meeting. The title of this book is “Zemra e nenes”, (A mother’s heart”), which is also the title of a piece in the collection, composed to the verses of the French poet Jacques Prévert. This is the first publication of Albanian A-Capella chorals.

	The Lectorium Eqerem Cabej on Arts and Sciences is a high quality lecture series, a discussion spurred by the need to think. This lecture series aims at bringing together supporters of knowledge from and outside the Academia in order to facilitate the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas between the scientific, philosophic, cultural and artistic community, while informing reciprocally on scholarly achievements from both home and abroad. The aim is also to gradually assemble an audience of sufficient quality for the academics. Three types of lectures are foreseen: public presentation of individual research papers of wide interest, not restricted to some specific field of low general interest, including presentation of recently published books; presentations of the latest fields of study unknown to the audience and from interdisciplinary areas, including updates on these areas; and finally, interdisciplinary essays and other papers on the philosophy of the respective areas, arts, culture and sciences.

	The monographic study is titled “Kaceli`s paintings, between Paris and Tirana”. The material is based on analysis of and conclusions on Sadik Kaceli`s (1914 – 2000) work and life. This study has a scientific research value absent from the Albanian publishing, not only in the visual arts field particularly, but in art generally. The material numbers 230 pages, and is divided in two sections: 120 pages of theoretical material, and 110 pages of visual material. The book will include: Kaceli`s childhood and youth in Tirana (1914 – 1936); his years of studying in Paris (1936 – 1941); the years during the Second World War (1941 -1945); and his work in Albania from 1945 until his death in 2000.

	Romany culture has survived since the 13th century, when the first Roma tribes have been established around Europe. Since that time, Roma culture has kept its originality, but, unfortunately, it has lost some of its identity. Actually, this danger still exists. The originality of Romany culture is indeed very attractive, and it would be a sin to loose that very old culture, being transmitted from one generation to the next. Our organisation “Amaro Dives”, which is the oldest Roma organisation in Albania, has been working and is continues to work with all its capacities The participation in this very important meeting in Slovenia, where we will also discus about the situation of Romany culture, is very important for the Albanian Roma community, which consists of more than 120,000 Roma.

	The POETEKA literary review is well consolidated in both its physiognomy and editorials. Nevertheless, the upcoming issue foresees to introduce two novel elements. The first new element deals with the publication of the verses written exclusively for POETEKA by the Nobel Prize winner poet and play-writer, Wole Soynka (Nobel Prize 1986). The Nobel Prize winner poet kindly presented POETIKA literary review a present in the form of a poem titled “A Vision of Peace” and written in 2005, which will be published in the authors’ hand writing facsimile accompanied by a translation in Albanian. These verses will be accompanied by an essay of Pirro Dollani, a professor of artistic scenarios at the University of Las Vegas, describing the way the poetry arrived on the table of POETEKA literary review. This kind present opens up the possibility of a positive response to the invitation the POETEKA board has forwarded to Wole Soyinka to participate in an edition of POETEKA International Festival of Poetry. The second new element is the introduction of a new section: The Cities and the Artists. In its 11th issue, POETEKA literary review will be focused on the city of Milan and the professional life of artists who have resided there: Da Vinci, Manzoni, Giuseppe Verdi, Franz Listz, Goethe, etc. The section will continue to receive contributions also in future issues.

The periodical will be published quarterly, and will include comments, analysis, scientific articles, and research papers regarding architectural and urban issues. The authors might be Albanian or foreigners. Thus, the main language of the periodical will be Albanian, but it will also include articles in English. It may serve to the students of Architecture and Urban Planning, professionals in these fields, policy-makers, and even to a broader public, interested in the raised issues. We intend to bring a new vision, a contemporary perspective in architecture, as we did with urban planning.

	The creation of a high quality website to reflect overall teaching and artistic activity of this institution inside the country, and abroad, is an absolute necessity of the Academy of Arts. It will rank the Academy of Arts among the contemporary worldwide art schools. The contemporary form and content changes in the educational system, as a result of Bologna Declaration implementation, make the actual website an entirely useless one. It aims at giving full information about institutional structure, all training programmes, curricula, student life and academic activities, publications, admission policy practices, on-line students’ application, projects, international cooperation, etc. The existing website, www.akademiaearteve.edu.al, does not meet the requirements of being a useful tool for students, teachers and administrative staff of the Academy of Arts. Lacking almost all the items mentioned above, the existing site needs radical changes. The recent changes in the Albanian educational system need a new form and content.
